Responsibilities:
Candidate
will be responsible and accountable for the overall engineering design,
associated calculations and specifications of electricals/equipment
used on the onshore/offshore oil/gas facilities.
Candidate shall be able to check design engineering documents prepared by consultants / contractors.
Candidate shall also be capable of studying, commenting and approving vendor data documents.
It
is a definite advantage for candidate to have experience in witnessing
and approving FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance
Tests) for electrical items.
Candidate
will be responsible on the overall supervision of the engineers under
him, the overall design work and endorsement of detailed designs related
to electrical required for the onshore/offshore oil/gas facilities.
Job Descriptions
Design and selection of electrical/equipment used on the onshore/offshore process facilities.Us e of codes, standards and practice applicable to the design and installation of electricals (eg API, ISA, ANSI, AGA, ISO and IEC codes etc.)
Co -ordinate all electrical design and development work in connection with new projects and modifications to existing installations and provide advice during construction/equipment and ensure compliance with design.
Provide professional advice in the selection of equipment and materials for new projects and replacement in existing installation.
Experience
in the design of microprocessor based equipment such as SCADA/DCS, ESD,
IPS Fire & Gas Detection, Fire Protection Systems, metering, WHCP,
etc., Ex perience in HAZOP / HAZAN reviews.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a recognized
Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least fifteen (15) years of
experience and at least 8 years supervisory experience. Applicants shall
be responsible on the overall supervision of the engineers under him,
the overall design work and endorsement of detailed designs related to
electrical required for the onshore/offshore oil/gas facilities.
