crane operator


We are looking for experienced Crane Operators to work on Offshore Drilling Rigs operating in the Asia Region. The Crane Operator is part of a team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the MODU’s cranes and the supervision of the crane-deck crew.

Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of drilling equipment, chemicals, tubulars and general supplies to and from supply vessels.
  • Responsible for the color-coding, inspection and maintenance of lifting slings in use, and the discard of unsafe or damaged slings.
  • Reporting any defects in drilling or lifting equipment immediately so as to enable repairs to be carried out at the first opportunity.
  • Assisting as instructed in maintenance or repairs to equipment if so directed by the Barge Engineer.

We are looking for experienced Electricians to work on Offshore Drilling Rigs operating in the Asia Region. The Electrician is part of a team responsible for all electrical and instrument maintenance and engineering activities on the installation with accountability for the health and safety of all persons under their authority.

Responsibilities:
  • The safe and efficient operation of the vessel power generation, distribution systems, control and instrumentation systems in order to maintain power to drilling, marine, accommodation and auxiliary services at all times
  • To carry out all work in accordance with company and legislative requirements with regard to ‘Electricity at Work' and class rules.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out only after an appropriate risk assessment toolbox talk and under an approved permit to work
  • To liaise with supervisors with regard to maintenance/repairs and planning ahead so as to avoid the risk of delay through equipment breakdown.

We are looking for experienced Assistant Drillers to work on Offshore Drilling Rigs operating in the Asia Region. The Assistant Driller works closely with the Driller onboard coordinating all equipment needs and upcoming task preparation to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the correct alignment of well control manifolds/equipment at the start of each tour and after testing of well control equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate all equipment needs and upcoming task preparations, to enable a safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist in creating a safe working environment and responsible work attitude in the execution of all work programs.
  • Ensure all drilling tools and associated equipment is in proper working order prior to use.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Mechanic and carrying out repairs and maintenance to drilling equipment and associated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Permit to Work system.
  • Immediately rectifying or reporting to the Senior Mechanic any defects or discrepancies in drilling or associated equipment.
  • Member of the Maintenance Team for all emergencies as described in the Contingency and Emergency Manual. 

Requirements:
  • Seadrill requires Mechanics with a Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent and experience working in the Drilling, Oil & Gas or related industries.
