crane operator


We are looking for experienced Crane Operators to work on Offshore Drilling Rigs operating in the Asia Region. The Crane Operator is part of a team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the MODU’s cranes and the supervision of the crane-deck crew.

Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of drilling equipment, chemicals, tubulars and general supplies to and from supply vessels.
  • Responsible for the color-coding, inspection and maintenance of lifting slings in use, and the discard of unsafe or damaged slings.
  • Reporting any defects in drilling or lifting equipment immediately so as to enable repairs to be carried out at the first opportunity.
  • Assisting as instructed in maintenance or repairs to equipment if so directed by the Barge Engineer.
  • Carry out all work activities within the guidelines of Company or Operator Policies or Procedures.
  • Promoting safety awareness and safe work practice among all the personnel on board.

Requirements:
  • Seadrill requires Crane Operators with a recognized Crane Certification and experience working in the Drilling, Oil & Gas or related industries.

Seadrill Crane Operators work on rotations of 28 days on the rig, 28 days at home.
